for a fast, accurate image of brand merchandising
US-based General Mills is a world-leading food manufacturing company. With a portfolio of more than 100 brands, General Mills is the world’s sixth-largest food manufacturer. In France, the company commercializes brands like Häagen-Dazs, Yoplait, Old EL Paso and Géant Vert. In 2015 General Mills rolled out an aggressive launch strategy for a new range of Häagen-Dazs ice cream bars and wanted to create a new experience around this highly-competitive product category.
Visiativ recommended 3DS Perfect Shelf to help General Mills create an immersive, virtual-reality experience to show retailers a personalised merchandising solution for the new products. Visiativ created accurate models of a hypermarket and supermarket for each grocery store chain and 3D models of the products.
General Mills saved a substantial amount of time with the solution. Instead of the usual three weeks of back-and-forth communication with retailers for this type of project, merchandising could be completed in just a single two-hour meeting. The solution also had a major impact on consumers: sales of the new Häagen-Dazs products were excellent.
